Yes, as long as they are fully drained of any oil and are placed on a plastic sheet upon the pallet. If engines, gearboxes or machinery are not free from oil, the collection driver will reject the pallet and the full cost of the service will still be charged.

Someone will need to be present at the time of collection and delivery to ensure collection and delivery notes are signed and all goods are checked for any signs of damage.

All collections/deliveries are made on tail lift lorries and are manoeuvred using a manual pallet truck unless a fork lift truck is available. Remember - Items that require a tail lift collection or delivery must be on a four way pallet i.e. a pallet that can be lifted from all sides, and must not exceed 750kg.  Please click here for collection and delivery vehicle dimensions.

Pallet Delivery collections take place between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 12noon on Saturdays if specially requested.  You can request a telephone call an hour before collection/deliveries and also a text message to be notified of your collection day.

Important Information: Pallet Distribution

  • The ground and the road need to be completely flat, level and solid to use this system.

  • Gravel or broken and sloping ground is unsuitable for tail lift deliveries and collections and pallets may have to be left on the road side if it is safe to do so.

  • Tail lift deliveries cannot be made on ground with any incline.

  • The road must be wide enough for a lorry to fit down. Our lorries are about the size of an average dustbin lorry.  If the access is more restricted then please contact us so we can arrange a smaller vehicle.

  • We cannot deliver on steep hills and please make sure there are no overhead obstructions.

  • Drivers cannot take any goods inside the premises.

Pallet Delivery That You Can Rely On

After being collected your pallet is taken back to the local depot where it is transferred onto a large lorry full of the collected pallets from the local area. On this large lorry, your pallet will travel to the central hub where it will be checked by the pallet network’s quality control team, before being transferred on to the large lorry full of pallets going to the local delivering depot. The pallets are quality control checked again on their way out of the hub. Once the pallet is at the local delivering depot it is put onto a small delivery vehicle ready to go on to its final destination. The small delivery lorry will take the pallet to the delivery point where it can be checked and signed for. During this process your pallet will have its very own barcode, which is scanned at each stage so that it can be tracked every step of the way. This information can be found by using our Track & Trace Tool. The unique, tight quality control checks also ensure that your pallet reaches its delivery point looking the same as it did when it was collected.

If you placed your order after 11am, your pallet will be collected between 9am – 5pm the next working day. Please Click Here to track your pallet status online. For an estimated collection time, please contact the Pallet Delivery team.
